Office Manager

Reporting to Glenvale’s Principal, the Office Manager (“OM”) will support Glenvale’s business operations on a part-time or full-time basis. The OM will be responsible for managing a variety of operational matters, including financial records and payments, routine human resources, computer hardware and software, and Glenvale’s office.

Responsibilities

  • Manage Glenvale’s office, including office equipment, supplies, computer inventory and software licenses.

  • Liaison between payroll and benefits providers and Glenvale team, including on-boarding of new employees. Process bi-monthly payroll.

  • Record invoices, financial obligations, and other financial transactions; manage payments and inter-company transfers.

  • Collaborate with Glenvale’s project development team to maintain accurate project cost control and forecasts.

  • Track and support corporate registrations, filings, and annual reports.

  • Exercise good document control practices and maintain company records in a diligent manner.

  • Support Glenvale’s management with other business management needs. Glenvale will consider expanding the position’s responsibilities to complement an applicant’s capabilities related to our business.

Requirements

  • Two-years experience in a similar role or bachelor’s degree (awarded or in progress) in relevant discipline.

  • Familiar with conventional Microsoft office software and Quickbooks. Fluency in the use of Quickbooks, Excel, Word and Powerpoint.

  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work in teams, and as an individual self-starter.

  • Ability to prioritize in a fast-paced, inter-disciplinary environment.

  • Strong analytical, verbal and written communication skills.

Other

  • Glenvale will consider full-time and part-time applicants (part-time is 30 hours/week); in either case the OM will be eligible for Glenvale’s benefits.

  • Glenvale’s office is a hybrid workplace; in-office presence is required (some remote work is acceptable).

Director of Development

Reporting to Glenvale’s Principal, the Director of Development will manage the development of solar photovoltaic projects in New England, and play a key role in our Corporate and Project Finance transactions. Key responsibilities include managing real estate rights, entitlements, interconnection rights and other aspects of development projects, ensuring they achieve construction readiness on time and on budget. The Director of Development will also be responsible for controlling, managing and reporting on all aspects of project progress, and will have significant responsibility for technical and project information during project financing transactions (generally sell-side M&A).

Responsibilities

  • Directs greenfield origination including securing site control, and initiating interconnection, permitting and title due diligence.

  • Directs technical and project components of M&A transactions, including managing.

  • Represents Glenvale with federal, state and local officials, regulators, utilities, RTOs, and other stakeholders throughout the project development process.

  • Optimizes project development potential at all stages of project life, including the assessment and implementation of energy storage. Maintains and expands knowledge base of project development, financing and operation.

  • Oversees state, federal, and local permitting efforts and approval processes for utility-scale solar projects. Manages the preparation and delivery of permitting documentation.

  • Works with engineers and program managers to apply for interconnection, and manages the project during the study process.

  • Supports revenue contracting efforts including market research and strategy, generating and submitting proposals, and finalizing bankable revenue contracts.

  • Manages project financial models, project design and generation interconnection activities. Reports project status to management and investors.

  • Develops and manages to budgets, scopes of work, and project schedules. Contracts and manages consultants, engineers, equipment suppliers and construction contractors.

  • Interfaces with engineers and construction contractors to ensure that the project remains within budget and on schedule.

  • Participates in acquisition, joint development, project financing and divestiture activities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or relevant technical discipline. Master’s degree preferred.

  • 8+ years of progressive project development and/or project management experience in the energy, infrastructure, real estate, or utilities sector.

Development Analyst

Reporting to Glenvale’s Senior Analyst, the Development Analyst will support the project development of solar photovoltaic projects in New England. Key responsibilities include research and analysis related to identifying and developing new development opportunities. Under supervision, the Development Analyst will be responsible for collection and management of data, including the use of Glenvale’s project management and reporting tools.

Responsibilities

  • Support site investigation and acquisition, including site research and preliminary site analysis.

  • Support project development of solar projects, including the land acquisition, design and permitting processes.

  • Support management of engineering, environmental and other professionals throughout the development process.

  • Support the preparation and submission of proposals.

  • Support project and portfolio status reporting.

  • Exercise good document control practices and maintain project records in a professional manner.

  • Assist with competitive market analysis, market research and industry research as directed.

  • Assist with preparation of financing packages, diligence data and reporting.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree (awarded or in progress) in relevant discipline such as engineering, environmental science, business, real estate or urban planning.

  • One year accumulated experience in a development, construction, engineering, or energy related work environment.

  • Familiar with conventional office software. Fluency in the use of some of the following:
    - Project-management and control tools (e.g.: Microsoft Project, Smartsheets, Basecamp)
    - Geographic analysis and project design (e.g.: ArcGIS, Google Earth, Helioscope)
    - Financial analysis of renewable energy or real estate projects (e.g. development modelling in Excel)

  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work in teams, and as an individual self starter.

  • Ability to prioritize in a fast-paced, inter-disciplinary environment.

  • Flexibility to travel to conduct in-person meetings, visit project sites, and participate in community meetings.

  • Strong analytical, verbal and written communication skills.
